Unhappy Just Taxing Humans, Wilson County Now Wants to Tax Dogs and Cats

A proposal create an animal licensing fee and tax residents for owning cats and dogs is causing a lot of controversy Dog with moneyin Lebanon.

The idea to charge an annual fee was raised at a recent budget work session.

Under the new proposal, each dog and cat would cost pet owners $25 a year. If you can prove your dogs are spayed or neutered, the cost drops to $10 per dog.

Another controversial element of is if someone has four or more dogs, they would have to pay $100 for a kennel or breeding license.
