Nashville’s Old Convention Center to Be Redeveloped

The Metro Council approved a plan to redevelop the old Nashville Convention Center into a 205,000 square foot mixed-use project Tuesday night.

The site will include retail, restaurants, entertainment space and office space. The $400 million, 6.2 acre development at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway will also include a public parking garage that can hold 781 vehicles.

“All-in-all, this will be what downtown as a whole has become – a place where people can live, work and play,” said Mayor Karl Dean when the plans were announced in March.
