Some Williamson County Homes Sell for More Than Asking Price

Potential Williamson County homeowners ready to buy might have found a seller’s market with bidding battles and a low inventory.

Suzie DeYoung, an agent with Fridrich and Clark, says she must stay atop new listings and check several times a day to ensure her clients will be the first to see a home.

DeYoung said she has had clients househunting from out of state and others who have had to compromise with what they thought they wanted in a house because of the current real estate market.

The Williamson County Association of Realtors recently reported the county had 1,906 homes for sale in June 2015, compared to 2,031 houses last year.

In addition to fewer houses for sale, Williamson County had 624 home closings in June 2015 — a 20 percent increase from June 2014.
