West Nile Mosquitoes Caught in Nashville

Eight batches of mosquitoes tested by Metro Public Health Department tested positive for West Nile virus, according to a news release.

The mosquitoes were trapped in the follow areas:

Antioch: near the intersection of Bell Road and Edge O Lake Drive
Bordeaux: near the intersection of Clarksville Highway and West Hamilton Road
Bordeaux: near the intersection of Hydes Ferry Road and County Hospital Road
Crieve Hall: near the intersection of Hogan Road and Trousdale Rd.
Donelson: near the intersection of McGavock Pike and Lebanon Pike
East Nashville: near the intersection of East Trinity Lane and Gallatin Road
Green Hills: near the intersection of Woodlawn Ave. and Bowling Ave.
North Nashville: near the intersection of Buchanan Street and D.B. Todd Blvd.
This is the first time this year mosquitoes have tested positive in the Crieve Hall area, according to the Metro Public Health Department’s Pest Management Division.
