You May Be Able to Buy Property In Nashville for $192

Every year, nearly 100 property owners in Davidson County don’t pay their taxes on time. Metro has to get its money back somehow, but it can take a while.

83 properties will be auctioned off in the Jury Assembly room of the Metropolitan Davidson County Courthouse on Wednesday November 18 at noon. To get one of the houses, condos or plots of land, bidders will have to pay the taxes owed on the property, which ranges from $1.20 to $16,347.50. 1602 16th Avenue is an empty lot.

“There are a lot of abandoned lots on this side of town,” Donni Akins said, neighbor. The plot on 16th Avenue will start at just $192.97 at Metro’s auction. To neighbor Kim Wright, it’s not a lot of money for a space that’s not being used. “Even though this is a little small, but it’s enough room to put a playground in since so many people are moving in since so many families are moving in,” Wright said, neighbor.
