A Collegedale police officer fired a Taser at a woman hired to clean a middle school.
The incident occurred on the evening of Jan. 11 after police searched the school for a possible intruder, The Chattanooga Times Free-Press reported.
According to a report filed by Sgt. Jamie Heath, he and officer Brian Desmond responded to the school after Desmond noticed an open door at the facility.
Heath wrote that once inside, the officers found the woman and asked her to identify herself.
“She obviously noticed us, as she looked directly at us, appearing to be nervous and somewhat reserved,” Heath wrote in his report.
