Parameter Security based in St. Louis says if you’re still using paper checks to pay your bills, it gives criminals an easy opportunity to steal your money.
Financial experts say all a criminal needs to pull information from your bank account is your routing and checking account numbers, those 16 digits found on paper checks, “These are 19th century, 20th century methods in a 21st century world, 16 digits, 8 digits are not very hard to be able to pass around the world with a computer these days”, said, Dave Chronister with Parameter Security.
