Nashville Breaks Temperature Record With 40 Consecutive Days Above 70F

There’s no doubt there have been some pretty hot days this summer, but a new weather record shows that it’s not cooling down at night either.

The National Weather Service says we will tie a 61 year-old record overnight into Saturday, with 40 straight days (that’s 960 non-stop hours) where the temperature hasn’t dropped below 70 degrees.

Nashville Electric Service says that could mean increased electric bills, reflected in this and next months bills.
