Fisher to Remain in Nashville

The Nashville Predators announced on Friday they have re-signed center Mike Fisher to a new two-year contract.fisher

Fisher will make $4.8 million next season and $4 million in 2016-2017.

That’s a slight raise from his last contract, where he made $4 million per season on his last deal.

“Mike Fisher is a player and person anyone would want in their organization,” Predators General Manager David Poile said. “He is a smart, two-way player who contributes on special teams and is solid in the face-off circle, as well as a member of our leadership group, a respected voice in the dressing room and an integral part of the Nashville community.”

Fisher is returning from an injury that had him miss some time at the beginning of last season. However, once he returned to lineup he posted some of the best numbers of his career.
