Good Beer in Green Hills

There’s another beer festival to add to the social calendar, and this one is attacking that great hotbed of suburban rest, Green Hills. The Green Hills Brew Fest will be held in and around The Greenhouse at 2211 Bandywood Drive on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 2 to 7 p.m., with a concert following at 7:30. Organizers promise more than 100 beers from 30 breweries will be on tap, although I’m interested to see what craft beer Falls City will be bringing … (I know, I know, Blackstone has been brewing for them, so it will probably be good, but my memories of Falls City revolve around warm sixers stealthily consumed in Metro Parks during high school.)

There are several different levels of ticketing available at the event website, including VIP tickets and concert-only admissions. The concert will feature music from Fly Golden Eagle, Escondido, Alanna Royale and Maradeen, and ’90s party band Party of 5 will be entertaining during the drinking portion of the festival.

Food trucks will be on-site to provide the eats, and there will be plenty of entertaining activities such as yard games and a photo booth to keep you occupied between tastings. One cautionary note: (continue reading)
