Hoax Bomb in Gallatin Likely ‘Probing’ of First Responder Methods

Gallatin’s Chick-fil-A was forced to close Tuesday afternoon following a bomb threat at the business.

Officer Janell Willson, spokeswoman for the Gallatin Police Department, said Walmart received a bomb threat by phone around 2:30 p.m. and that the restaurant and the nearby Walmart were evacuated a short time later.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Special Operations Unit responded to the scene after a suspicious package was found at the rear of Chick-fil-A. The box did not contain any actual explosives.
