Goodlettsville Team Wins First Game of Little League World Series

The Goodlettsville All-Stars won their first game in the Little League World Series Thursday night.

A missed fly ball cost them two runs in the third inning, but thanks to a walk-off double from Robert Carroll in the bottom of the 6th inning, Goodlettsville is 1-0.

Facing Bend, Oregon, the All-Stars finally found a run trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the third when Tanner Jones hit a solo homerun off Zack Reynolds to cut the lead to 2-1.

Reynolds was fantastic for Oregon on the mound but having exhausted his pitch count, he was forced out of the game in the final inning.
