The state worker exposed the brutal beating of a correctional officer, but now she’s in trouble herself.
Elaine Rollison was charged last week by the Department of Correction for bringing a cell phone into the Turney Center Industrial Complex in Hickman County.
Her supporters said she only wanted to show the dangerous conditions inside her workplace.
Last week, the Channel 4 I-Team obtained a video of the beating of a correctional officer. At the time, the I-Team did not who made the copy received.
Now a state employee is criminally charged for recording it and a state representative believes she’s being punished for being a whistleblower.
Corporal Rollinson was arrested on Sept. 10. She was escorted from her home surrounded by Hickman County deputies, arrested on a warrant brought by her own state agency for bringing in contraband into the Turney Center in Only. (continue reading at WSMV)
