In October 2012, TDOT hired construction contractor Rogers Group to widen I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Pike from 6 to 10 lanes.
The project had an October 2015 deadline, which had been extended until this month, but now it looks as if the contractor will once again need more time due to “utility issues” and “weather.”
“We do not think they’ll be done by then, it’s gonna be a bit longer than that,” said, John Schroer, TDOT Commissioner.
