14 Years After 9/11, a Rural Lock Reopens to Taxpayers

A lock along the Tennessee River is set to reopen to the public after it was closed off after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The Nickajack Lock on the Tennessee River in Marion County was fenced off and equipped with barricades, speed bumps and padlocked steel gates for 14 years.
