Folks are rushing to the store buying lottery tickets for Wednesday’s $1.5 billion jackpot.
As the frenzy grows, this past Saturday in Tennessee 25,000 tickets were sold an hour.
News 2 is tracking where the money goes and gives you a breakdown of what happens to your $2 once you hand them over.
“I bought one yesterday, today, and when I went out of town I bought some,” Peoples said.
Peoples has come up with a strategy to become the country’s next billionaire, it includes traveling to two other states to purchase tickets.
“Most of the other states mostly win all the time than Tennessee, so I figure do it that way,” she said.
