Members of United Campus Workers and University of Tennessee Diversity Matters, along with their supporters, will lobby state lawmakers and rally in Nashville today.
The two groups have worked together to organize events on campus to show opposition to a proposal to outsource maintenance and management of state-owned buildings as well as opposition to cuts to campus diversity funding.
The groups are expected to leave Knoxville early this morning and be joined in Nashville by additional supporters before a 1 p.m. rally. Attendees also plan to lobby lawmakers about their respective concerns.
